2017 is going to be a year of new developments and new goals for Living Greener. We have a vision for the program, and we’re planning to make that vision a reality! Let’s take a look at what the year has in store…

Living Greener Goals of 2017:

Finish writing and printing life skills curriculum
Distribute life skills curriculum to interested stakeholders
Develop new community partnerships
Reduce recidivism in the area
Expand scope of Headwaters Charitable Trust
Work with partner organizations to develop new Second Chances program
Ensure the sustainability of established programs
Recruit committed volunteers to help run programs
Expand food access efforts (Community gardens, farmers markets, CSA)
Promote future AmeriCorps opportunities in the area

These goals are not set in stone, for they may develop, change and grow as the year rolls on. The VISTA’s are excited for 2017, and hope to make a lasting, positive impact on the community as we depart at the end of the year.
