AmeriCorps Pride
It’s AmeriCorps week 2017! This is the week to celebrate the contributions of national service and spread awareness of what AmeriCorps does.
Why do I serve?
I believe in the mission and values of AmeriCorps; I believe in eradicating poverty within our own borders. I believe in building the capacity of organizations so they can expand services to those who may not have opportunities otherwise. I believe in living meagerly to help others in need. I believe in helping those in disadvantaged circumstances turn their dreams into reality. I believe in the tangible impact of both direct and indirect AmeriCorps services.
Most importantly, I believe in the power of hard work, commitment, and passion to fight poverty.
I am proud to serve my country as a Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) and thankful everyday to a part of this amazing organization.
