Happy Groundhog Day!
This Thursday I had the opportunity to celebrate the Groundhog Day festivities on Gobbler’s Knob. It was a fun filled all-night celebration of goofiness. One minute the MC was wearing a prince outfit singing a song about a groundhog the next he is honoring someone in a tuxedo and top hat! Everyone there was surprised by a quality fireworks show and great live acts. They kept the energy high all night. I’ll never forget being grabbed by an older lady and made to dance the twist with her!
This is also a perfect example of the PA Wilds lifestyle and our commitment to Living Greener. It took place outdoors, featured native wildlife, and showed a commitment to the community. This piece of eco-tourism is great for the city of Punxsutawney, the parks, the performers, and the crew. Even the guy selling hats and tshirts was Living Greener! It’s all about cherishing our heritage.
