Making connections with volunteers.
The last few weeks I have been pleased to go out into the community and do a recruitment drive for volunteer trainers for our Living Greener program. The trainers will come in as a guest speaker and use our curriculum to teach life skills to Living Greener Participants. The goal is to have entry level workers fully prepared for a full time job in the work force. We cover a range of things such as time management, conflict resolution, basic finance, good communication skills, and how to nail that interview and land your job!
We have a lot of interest and a good slate of people volunteering to come help at the Fall Living Greener classes. It is a big ask, to have professionals take a few hours out of their busy day so a huge thank you to all of our current and future guests.
