Project Description

While the traditional Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model requires pick up of crops predetermined by the farmer, our market-style CSA takes a different, more flexible approach. This variation involves the upfront purchase of Crop Cash vouchers that can be redeemed for members’ choice of crops from participating farm stands and market vendors. The vouchers are valued 10% higher than the purchase price ($100 = $110 of produce). This locally based economic model of food distribution is designed to eliminate barriers between farmers and consumers while increasing farmer revenue.
